Description

SmartShunt 500AMP/50MV Bluetooth Smart Battery Shunt The Smart Battery Shunt The SmartShunt is an all in one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display.

The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more. Alternatively the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device.

Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE. Direct cable.

The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted. The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.

Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor. VictronConnect VictronConnect lets you get live status information and configure any Victron products which either have Bluetooth built-in, or are connected to a VE.

Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle. Warranty Info Please contact your dealer for any returns, repairs or support issues related to this product.

Electrical — frequently asked

What’s the difference between marine wire and regular wire?
Marine wire uses tinned (tin-coated) copper strands that resist the corrosion salt air causes, and it’s more finely stranded so it flexes with vibration without breaking. Standard automotive or household wire corrodes and fails much faster in a marine environment.
How do I size a fuse for a marine circuit?
Size the fuse to protect the wire, not just the device. Match the fuse rating to the wire gauge’s safe current capacity so the fuse blows before the wire overheats. When adding a new circuit, follow the wire manufacturer’s ampacity chart for the gauge and run length you’re using.
Do I need a battery switch on my boat?
A marine battery switch is strongly recommended. It lets you disconnect the battery for storage or service, isolate a failed battery, and — on multi-battery setups — choose which bank powers the boat. It’s a core safety and reliability component.
