Description
Marine Polish - Ultimate Protection, Restores Shine & Color - 16 oz Marine Polish is the easy way to protect a new boat's good looks or get an older boat looking its best by quickly and easily removing light oxidation, scratches, and swirl marks. This boat wax uses a durable formula that helps protect against fading caused by UV rays and lasts up to four times longer than other polishes or waxes.
Easy to apply by hand or with a buffer. Wash the surface to be polished (we recommend a Star brite Boat Wash).
Shake the bottle well. Apply in a firm, overlapping pattern with a clean cloth.
Apply to small sections at a time to ensure uniform coverage. Rub well to remove chalk, surface rust, and oxidation while the polish is wet.
No hard rubbing required on most surfaces. Severely chalked surfaces will require more rubbing.
Star brite Marine Polish will quickly dry to a haze. Buff off haze with a dry cloth, and your hull, fittings, painted, and metal surfaces will shine like new.
Star brite will completely remove chalk from most fiberglass and aluminum hulls, restoring original luster. For best results, apply a second coat in 10-30 days.
A second coat will remove chalk and oxidation brought to surface by the first application. Two applications will provide a durable shield that will protect against chalking, rust, corrosion and oxidation for up to a year or more.
Foreign substances, such as tar, oil, and salt will not adhere to a Star brite surface and can usually be washed off with fresh water. Directions: Easy apply by hand or with a buffer.

Winterizing — frequently asked
- What antifreeze should I use to winterize my boat?
- Use non-toxic marine (propylene glycol) antifreeze rated to a temperature safely below the coldest you expect. Do not use automotive ethylene glycol antifreeze in systems that touch potable water or discharge overboard — it’s toxic. Match the concentration to your climate and system.
- Why do I need to fog my engine for winter?
- Fogging oil coats the cylinders and internal metal surfaces so they don’t corrode while the engine sits unused for months. Combined with fresh oil, stabilized fuel, and proper antifreeze, it protects the engine from the moisture and acids that cause off-season damage.
- Is shrink wrap better than a cover for winter storage?
- Both work if done right. Shrink wrap gives a tight, weatherproof seal that’s great for outdoor storage but is single-season. A quality reusable cover is more economical over time. Either way, use support structure to shed water and add vents to prevent mildew.
