Description

Crown Head™ Deep Draft Repair Kit The Deep Draft Crown Head was last made in 1990 but some still exist out in the field today. While many of the parts are similar to today’s Crown Head there are some that are no longer available.

For this reason we now include the macerator retro-fit for the old Deep Draft units to make the Centrifugal Discharge series. This repair kit will update the older style Deep Draft toilets to the new CD series.

For those not wishing to tear apart units, Raritan still offers a Crown Head Exchange program that allows users to swap their old base for a new one at a reduced cost over buying new.

Marine Plumbing & Ventilation — frequently asked

How do I size a bilge pump?
Bilge pumps are rated in gallons per hour (GPH), but actual output is lower once you account for hose length and vertical lift. Choose a pump rated well above your expected worst-case water intrusion, and consider a second, higher-capacity pump plus a float switch for automatic operation.
Can I use regular garden hose for my boat’s water system?
No. Marine plumbing uses purpose-built hose rated for the specific system — potable water, sanitation, and raw-water/bilge hoses differ in pressure rating, temperature resistance, and permeation. Using the wrong hose causes odors, leaks, or contamination.
Why is ventilation important on a boat?
Ventilation clears moisture that causes mildew and rot, and — critically on gasoline boats — clears fuel vapors from the engine compartment before starting. Blowers, cowl vents, and dorade boxes keep air moving through cabin and engine spaces for safety and comfort.
