Description

TCD2022 Thruster Push Button Control The traditional TCD/WCD/TSC controls have been renewed. The updated design matches the style of the QNC Quick Nautical Control commands, which feature a glossy black tempered glass panel.

The TCD/WCD/TSC controls differ from the QNC range in the choice of materials, in fact, they feature a special and scratch-resistant glossy Lexan instead of the tempered glass. The fixing method is different as well: the traditional screws have been replaced by a special 3M VHB double-sided gasket which allows for faster installation.

The technical and operating characteristics of the TCD/WCD/TSC controls are identical to the previous models.

Boat Outfitting — frequently asked

What material should marine hardware be made of?
For most exposed hardware, 316 stainless steel is the marine standard — it resists salt corrosion far better than 304 stainless or plated steel. Marine-grade aluminum, UV-stabilized nylon, and King StarBoard are also common for non-structural fittings.
How do I know a replacement seat or hatch will fit?
Measure the mounting pattern (bolt spacing), the cutout or base dimensions, and any post diameter or height on the part you’re replacing. Match those to the new part’s specs — outfitting parts follow common sizes but are not universal, so confirming dimensions avoids returns.
Do I need backing plates for deck hardware?
For anything that takes load — grab rails, cleats, ladder steps, seat pedestals — yes. A backing plate spreads the load across a larger area of the deck or transom so fasteners don’t pull through under stress.
