Description
22-18 AWG Fully-Insulated Male Disconnect Terminal - Red - 25 Pack Creating a solid connection is important in every part of an electrical system. Being able to disconnect and reconnect makes maintenance that much easier.
With Pacer's heat-shrink fully insulated disconnect terminals, users get the best of both worlds. Heat shrink terminals protect against the elements in the most challenging of environments.
They offer the best moisture protection available. How do they do this?
This heat-shrink fully insulated disconnect terminals have a built-in heat-activated adhesive liner. This liner provides a rugged, environmentally sealed connection for wires from 22 AWG - 10 AWG.
No longer will users need to worry about exposure to water, oil, gas, or other corrosive compounds. These terminals even protect connections from physical abuse and abrasion.
Disconnects allow the user to easily separate the connection if needed. This makes removing a piece of equipment or completing field service maintenance a breeze.
The insulation color indicates the wire gauge the terminal should be used on. Red insulation is for 22-18 AWG.
Blue insulation is for 16-14 AWG. Yellow insulation is for 12-10 AWG.
Selecting the correct heat shrink fully insulated disconnect terminal isn't an easy task. Contact a Pacer expert today with any questions that you may have.

Electrical — frequently asked
- What’s the difference between marine wire and regular wire?
- Marine wire uses tinned (tin-coated) copper strands that resist the corrosion salt air causes, and it’s more finely stranded so it flexes with vibration without breaking. Standard automotive or household wire corrodes and fails much faster in a marine environment.
- How do I size a fuse for a marine circuit?
- Size the fuse to protect the wire, not just the device. Match the fuse rating to the wire gauge’s safe current capacity so the fuse blows before the wire overheats. When adding a new circuit, follow the wire manufacturer’s ampacity chart for the gauge and run length you’re using.
- Do I need a battery switch on my boat?
- A marine battery switch is strongly recommended. It lets you disconnect the battery for storage or service, isolate a failed battery, and — on multi-battery setups — choose which bank powers the boat. It’s a core safety and reliability component.
