MSD576 Water Rescue Dry Suit - Fluorescent Yellow Green-Black - Large This constant-wear dry suit is based on the functionality of our legendary Swift Water Rescue Dry Suit, but with sizes that fit a broader range. The MSD576 Rescue Suit utilizes Rapid Repair Technology to improve mobility for water rescue professionals.
GORTEX® fabric and a lightweight YKK AquaSEAL® entry zipper ensure the Water Rescue Suit is waterproof and breathable. Nylon reinforcement in high-wear areas is dependably durable, while knee and elbow pads help prevent injury.
A two-point attachment suspender system, adjustable waist belt, and leg and wrist velcro closures provide the necessary efficient fit for successful missions. The suit design is compatible with the many types of equipment required in water rescue situations.

- What safety equipment is legally required on my boat?
- Requirements vary by boat length and operating area but generally include a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for each person, fire extinguisher(s) of the correct class, visual distress signals, and a sound-producing device. Confirm the exact list for your boat’s size and where you operate.
- How many life jackets do I need?
- You need at least one properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket (PFD) for every person aboard, and boats 16 feet and over generally also need a throwable flotation device. Fit matters — a PFD that fits and is worn is what actually saves lives.
- Do marine flares and fire extinguishers expire?
- Yes. Pyrotechnic flares have an expiration date (typically about 42 months) and must be replaced, and fire extinguishers must be within date, charged, and undamaged. Check both on a schedule and replace anything expired — required safety gear only counts if it’s current.
