Description
Mac Plus 24/24-30 + CZone Boost the Service Battery Too often, service batteries don’t get the charge they need. This is a problem made worse by smart alternators and start/stop systems, which result in slow and insufficient charges.
The Mac Plus DC-DC charger solves this problem, providing a quick, safe, and consistent charge to the service battery. And, by knowing when the engine is running and providing charge, users can be sure that the Mac Plus will never drain a starter battery.
Proven Mastervolt Quality Users get peace of mind knowing that they have the best on board. Using the proven Mastervolt 3-step+ charge algorithm, the Mac Plus delivers a quick and easy charge, even for completely flat batteries.
A robust design holds up in even the harshest conditions, with battery temperature-optimized charging and a high-quality aluminum housing to ensure superior protection against dust and water ingress. The power-efficient design also allows the Mac Plus to operate silently and without a fan.
Total Power Flexibility With a wide DC input range, the Mac Plus allows for all DC sources and can charge two batteries from a single alternator or charger. It supports a full range of chemistries and battery types, including lithium.
It also functions seamlessly with modern alternators such as Euro 5 and 6, ensuring proper charging by providing constant power, even when the alternator is inactive. Parallel configuration of up to ten units will provide over 100 amperes.
Advanced high-frequency technology with modern microprocessors ensures minimal power loss when switching from 12V to 24V and vice versa. Analog voltage sense ports are also available to compensate for voltage drops and maintain proper charging.
Superior Monitoring & Control Compatibility with CZone®, NMEA 2000®, and MasterBus delivers truly superior monitoring and control and ensures Mac Plus integrates easily into complete systems. Achieve the best performance possible via various controllers and high-quality

Electrical — frequently asked
- What’s the difference between marine wire and regular wire?
- Marine wire uses tinned (tin-coated) copper strands that resist the corrosion salt air causes, and it’s more finely stranded so it flexes with vibration without breaking. Standard automotive or household wire corrodes and fails much faster in a marine environment.
- How do I size a fuse for a marine circuit?
- Size the fuse to protect the wire, not just the device. Match the fuse rating to the wire gauge’s safe current capacity so the fuse blows before the wire overheats. When adding a new circuit, follow the wire manufacturer’s ampacity chart for the gauge and run length you’re using.
- Do I need a battery switch on my boat?
- A marine battery switch is strongly recommended. It lets you disconnect the battery for storage or service, isolate a failed battery, and — on multi-battery setups — choose which bank powers the boat. It’s a core safety and reliability component.
