Description
XKA Stainless Steel Trim Tab Kit with One-Touch Control - 12 x 18 The Lectrotab stainless steel trim tab design provides unmatched strength and reliability. All stainless steel tabs are fabricated with a continuous rolled and pinned hinge.
This design eliminates the need for welding. Combined with a precision-engineered actuator, this kit is built to combine quiet operation with a non-hydraulic, maintenance free design.
The unit is corrosion free, ensures very accurate tab positioning, provides maximum lift force, and is totally self-contained for easy installation. The actuator assembly is packaged in a non-metallic permanently sealed housing.
No components need to be installed inside the boat. Most importantly, unlike hydraulic trim tabs, there is no oil to leak out.
The actuator incorporates either a standard or low profile transom mounting bracket. Lectrotab's one-touch leveling LED control buts the complete control of your trim tabs at your fingertips.

Boat Outfitting — frequently asked
- What material should marine hardware be made of?
- For most exposed hardware, 316 stainless steel is the marine standard — it resists salt corrosion far better than 304 stainless or plated steel. Marine-grade aluminum, UV-stabilized nylon, and King StarBoard are also common for non-structural fittings.
- How do I know a replacement seat or hatch will fit?
- Measure the mounting pattern (bolt spacing), the cutout or base dimensions, and any post diameter or height on the part you’re replacing. Match those to the new part’s specs — outfitting parts follow common sizes but are not universal, so confirming dimensions avoids returns.
- Do I need backing plates for deck hardware?
- For anything that takes load — grab rails, cleats, ladder steps, seat pedestals — yes. A backing plate spreads the load across a larger area of the deck or transom so fasteners don’t pull through under stress.
