Description

A295 Dual Payload 384x288 Thermal + 1080P (10x Zoom) Visible Spectrum IP PTZ Camera The IRIS-A295 Low-Cost Dual Payload Night Vision PTZ From Iris Innovations. With an industry-leading 400×300 thermal resolution, the cameras also feature a 2MP high-definition visible spectrum camera core with excellent low light performance, super sharp footage, and 10x optical zoom capabilities.

Available with side entry or base entry cable options, the cameras are built into a robust yet compact waterproof case, designed to protect the unit from the harshest environmental conditions. Each sensor has its IP address meaning the cameras can be configured, controlled, and switched independently, and are compatible with many leading marine chart plotters via our range of CMAC camera management interfaces.

An RS485 Serial Data connection is also provided to maximize control options so Atom cameras can be controlled using suitable joystick control devices and NVRs. With its rugged, compact footprint and extremely competitive pricing, our ATOM range of IP PTZ cameras is the perfect solution for vessels of all types and sizes and our industry-leading thermal imaging technology opens up a world of boating at night in safety.

Standing only 8″ high, ATOM cameras blend into the vessel's aesthetic without standing out, and because they are so small they are the perfect camera solution for RIBs, center consoles, and sports fishing boats. To maximize compatibility, the ATOM-A295 is both ONVIF compliant and as the camera is also NDAA compliant, can be used for government, military, and other security-sensitive applications.

Marine Navigation & Instruments — frequently asked

What’s the difference between a chartplotter and a fishfinder?
A chartplotter shows your GPS position on electronic charts for navigation. A fishfinder uses sonar to show what’s below the boat — depth, bottom structure, and fish. Many modern units combine both, and networked systems can share data across displays.
Do I really need a VHF radio?
For safety, yes. A VHF radio is the primary way to reach other vessels and the Coast Guard, and a DSC-equipped VHF connected to GPS can transmit your position in an emergency. It’s more reliable than a cell phone offshore and is the recognized standard for marine distress calls.
What is NMEA 2000 and do I need it?
NMEA 2000 is a standard network that lets marine electronics — chartplotter, sonar, autopilot, sensors, engine data — share information over a single backbone. It’s not required for a simple setup, but it makes multi-device systems far easier to expand and integrate.
