Description

24V 6 Gauge Heavy Duty Series System Always on the cutting edge of rigging and power solutions, CONNECT-EASE has been watching the trolling motor landscape change significantly as Minn Kota, Power-Pole, Garmin, Lowrance, and others launch more powerful and torque-enabled models in everything from 12 to 36 volts; there are even some 48-volt models starting to appear. The upcoming years will be fascinating as Minn-Kota showcases the pre-launched, completely redesigned brushed and new brushless trolling motors—everything from Terrova to Ulterra to Ultrex—as exciting QUEST series versions in these trolling motor families.

The same goes for Power-Pole with their recently introduced MOVE brushless trolling motors. Garmin and Lowrance also promise to show some advanced, trolling motor designs.

Yes, trolling motors are getting a lot more advanced, and with that, rigging will become an even greater challenge. These brushed and brushless trolling motors require clear, clean, and reliable power, which is where CONNECT-EASE trolling motor rigging and power solution products come in.

Electrical — frequently asked

What’s the difference between marine wire and regular wire?
Marine wire uses tinned (tin-coated) copper strands that resist the corrosion salt air causes, and it’s more finely stranded so it flexes with vibration without breaking. Standard automotive or household wire corrodes and fails much faster in a marine environment.
How do I size a fuse for a marine circuit?
Size the fuse to protect the wire, not just the device. Match the fuse rating to the wire gauge’s safe current capacity so the fuse blows before the wire overheats. When adding a new circuit, follow the wire manufacturer’s ampacity chart for the gauge and run length you’re using.
Do I need a battery switch on my boat?
A marine battery switch is strongly recommended. It lets you disconnect the battery for storage or service, isolate a failed battery, and — on multi-battery setups — choose which bank powers the boat. It’s a core safety and reliability component.
