HemiLight™ 3 - Automatic Survivor Locator Light The ACR Auto HemiLight™3 flashing survival light attaches to almost any style life jacket with a quick and easy installation. Smaller than other approved lights, the HemiLight™ 3 features rounded edges to maintain the integrity of inflatable life jackets.
Attachment loop accommodates webbing up to 2" (5 cm) in width. The marine tough design ensures years of useful service.
The HemiLight™ 3 offers a high-intensity flashing LED light that automatically activates for 20+ hours when it comes in contact with salt or fresh water. Installation is quick and easy as the HemiLight™ 3 can be retrofitted to almost any style life jacket in a matter of seconds.

- What safety equipment is legally required on my boat?
- Requirements vary by boat length and operating area but generally include a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for each person, fire extinguisher(s) of the correct class, visual distress signals, and a sound-producing device. Confirm the exact list for your boat’s size and where you operate.
- How many life jackets do I need?
- You need at least one properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket (PFD) for every person aboard, and boats 16 feet and over generally also need a throwable flotation device. Fit matters — a PFD that fits and is worn is what actually saves lives.
- Do marine flares and fire extinguishers expire?
- Yes. Pyrotechnic flares have an expiration date (typically about 42 months) and must be replaced, and fire extinguishers must be within date, charged, and undamaged. Check both on a schedule and replace anything expired — required safety gear only counts if it’s current.
