Description
Firefly® PRO SOLAS When it comes to saving lives, anything less than the best is not an option. The all-new Firefly® PRO SOLAS rescue strobe lights are the brightest and most feature-packed strobe lights on the market today.
With three (3) activation functions, toggle between the ultra-bright strobe, the SOS strobe or the Steady-On feature to visually alert Search and Rescue of your location. The innovative new wide light emission LEDs produces a 360° beam of light (41 candela) allowing for visibility of over 3 miles.
The Cool White light has no yellow tinting which allows for a more visible light beam that can be seen at greater distances. With an energy efficient microprocessor and redesigned electronics, the Firefly® PRO boasts maximum operation life in the harshest of conditions.
With a single set of AA Lithium batteries, the Firefly® PRO SOLAS will continuously strobe for over 56 hours or use the Steady-On feature for 28 hours of usage. This exceeds USCG and SOLAS requirements by over 48 hours.
The new compact size will easily fit inside an inflatable life jacket or pocket for comfortable wear-ability. The military spec casing is rugged enough to withstand years of abuse and the harshest environments.
The two lashing loops and included Velcro strap make mounting the Firefly® PRO SOLAS to your life jacket, belt or pack extremely easy so that the strobe light can be readily accessible the moment you need it. Certifications: U.

Marine Safety — frequently asked
- What safety equipment is legally required on my boat?
- Requirements vary by boat length and operating area but generally include a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for each person, fire extinguisher(s) of the correct class, visual distress signals, and a sound-producing device. Confirm the exact list for your boat’s size and where you operate.
- How many life jackets do I need?
- You need at least one properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket (PFD) for every person aboard, and boats 16 feet and over generally also need a throwable flotation device. Fit matters — a PFD that fits and is worn is what actually saves lives.
- Do marine flares and fire extinguishers expire?
- Yes. Pyrotechnic flares have an expiration date (typically about 42 months) and must be replaced, and fire extinguishers must be within date, charged, and undamaged. Check both on a schedule and replace anything expired — required safety gear only counts if it’s current.
