Description
Exposure Series MOB Carbon 2 The Exposure MOB Carbon 2 combines a torch and water-activated strobe. This compact, floating LED search light uses a unique combination of aluminum and carbon, never before combined into a hand-held light.
The MOB Carbon 2 can be used on land and underwater down to 5 meters deep, allowing maximum versatility. Keep it in your pocket and use it as a search, trimming, and work light.
If you fall overboard, the light will float to the surface and automatically start strobing at 1 flash every second for up to 20 hours. Alternatively, store the MOB Carbon 2 near the helm, and if a MOB occurs, simply throw the light towards the MOB; it will float, start the strobe, and mark the body of water.

- Requirements vary by boat length and operating area but generally include a Coast Guard-approved life jacket for each person, fire extinguisher(s) of the correct class, visual distress signals, and a sound-producing device. Confirm the exact list for your boat’s size and where you operate.
- How many life jackets do I need?
- You need at least one properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket (PFD) for every person aboard, and boats 16 feet and over generally also need a throwable flotation device. Fit matters — a PFD that fits and is worn is what actually saves lives.
- Do marine flares and fire extinguishers expire?
- Yes. Pyrotechnic flares have an expiration date (typically about 42 months) and must be replaced, and fire extinguishers must be within date, charged, and undamaged. Check both on a schedule and replace anything expired — required safety gear only counts if it’s current.
